My Goddess...

Citroëns have always been unconventional vehicles. The DS goes even further !

Can you imagine how futuristic this car was when it was first presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1955 ? It was completely different from what had been produced until then. In a few seconds all others cars on the market looked 20 years older. Those who had just purchased a Traction must have...

As I had owned a CX and a BX in the past I could not resist bying one of those cars which will always be one of the most revolutionary vehicles ever produced. Hydropneumatic suspension, very powerful hydraulic brakes, power steering, wonderful design, seats in which you sink for more than 15 minutes, directional lights and exceptional road holding made the DS become a legend.

Some people will tell you that the DS is just an old rotten vehicle that should rather be called a boat than a car ! Well, the only thing I can tell to those people is that I have never driven any car that was as comfortable and safe as the DS.
MY DS is a Belgian DSpecial from 1971. The DSpecial was in fact not special at all and was rather at the lower end of the DS range. I personnally do not care as what I appreciate the most in the DS is its design, its comfort and its timelessness. The leather or the thick velvet of the Pallas models is just a detail to me.
