When I purchased Lulu, even if you would have thought she was brand new, I must admit that she was in fact an old lady.  I would not say that she had been repainted to look "as if" she was ok but she had indeed undergone surgery to look OK  for a few months.  One day I decided to have her restored completely.

Unfortunately, even if the idea was OK, I quickly realized that things would not go as expected.  The guy at the bodyshop who accepted to take care of Lulu went backrupt which means that the car remained in his cold warehouse for several... years.

One day though the phone rang and the guy informed me that Lulu was ready.  Hard to believe !

Here are a few pictures which I took during the restauration phase.  You can see how necessary it was to help Lulu...

You can check the final result on the related pages on this web site.  Now, when I drove the "new Lulu" I quickly realized that the work was not as good as promised.  Even if the work done by the bodyshop was excellent, the mechanical part was another story.  The guy who took care of that was calling himself the "best in the world"...  Well, if this guy is the best, I wonder how the other ones must be...  I found missing parts in the engine, the steering system broke after two days, oil was dripping off the engine, you could not open the sunroof, I got many electrical problems, the exaust pipe brole after two days, etc.

Fortunately, everything has been fixed and Lulu has become a true wonder !
